Why jet fuel is different
Aircraft safety depends on fuel quality, so jet fuel is bought with full quality documentation, and its quality is checked again as it moves through storage and transport.
Jet A-1 and Jet A are close but not the same. Jet A-1 has a lower maximum freezing point, and Jet A is used mainly in the United States.
